You Take Care of Everyone Else — Let Us Take Care of You

We know the drill. You’re the fixer. The doer. The rock for your family, your team, your friends. You’re the one everyone leans on — and you show up every single time.

But here’s the thing…

Pushing through the stiffness, ignoring the headaches, brushing off the fatigue, and telling yourself you’ll “deal with it later” isn’t helping anyone — especially not you.

Chiropractic and Massage: More Than Just Pain Relief

Whether it’s an adjustment to unlock movement or a deep, restorative massage to let your body finally exhale, we’ve got your back — literally and figuratively.

Here’s what we help men experience when they start putting themselves on the list:

More energy to power through your day (without crashing by 3pm)
Better sleep that actually leaves you feeling rested
Fewer aches and more mobility in your shoulders, neck, and back
Clearer thinking and sharper focus at work
Less stress and more calm in the chaos
Stronger connection to yourself and those around you

The nervous system plays a huge role in all of this — and that’s what we’re supporting every time you lay on the table.

When your spine is in alignment and your nervous system is functioning optimally, your body can move, heal, and thrive the way it was meant to. Add in massage to relieve muscular tension and support circulation, and you’ve got a powerful combo for long-term health.

At A. Butler Chiropractic, we see men walk into our office every day not just looking for pain relief, but looking for a full-body reset. They’re tired. Overwhelmed. Sore. Not sleeping well. Low on energy and not quite feeling like themselves — and they’re finally ready to stop toughing it out.

Sound familiar?

Strength Isn’t Just Pushing Through

We get it — taking time for yourself might feel unfamiliar or even “unnecessary” at first. But here’s what we tell our patients all the time: taking care of yourself isn’t weakness — it’s strength.
It takes courage to say, “I’m ready to feel better.”
It takes intention to prioritize your well-being.
And it takes a whole lot of resilience to keep showing up for others — which means you need to be showing up for yourself too.

Ready to Feel Better?

Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we’re here to support you in feeling more energized, more grounded, and more like you.

So come in. Lay down. Let your body reset. Let us help you feel the difference.
You don’t have to keep pushing through. You deserve to feel good every day — not just when things hurt.

Teething Troubles? Here’s How Chiropractic Care Can Help Your Baby (and You!)

Is your baby drooling like a faucet, gnawing on everything in sight, and just not quite themselves lately? If so, you might be entering the teething stage—a rite of passage for babies, and often, a challenging one for parents. While it’s easy to blame the fussiness and sleepless nights on those tiny pearly whites making their way through, there’s actually much more going on beneath the surface.

What many parents don’t realize is that teething stress isn’t just about the teeth. Behind those puffy gums and cranky moods is a nervous system working in overdrive. Your baby’s body is managing discomfort, regulating inflammation, and adapting to internal changes—all of which require a well-balanced and supported nervous system to handle smoothly.

When their nervous system is already under stress from things like birth trauma, growth spurts, or spinal tension, teething can become even more overwhelming. That’s when you might start noticing:

  • 😠 Increased irritability or fussiness

  • 🥱 Disrupted or restless sleep

  • 💩 Digestive changes or irregular bowel movements

  • 👂 Ear tugging or signs of discomfort

  • 😭 Difficulty self-soothing

This is where gentle pediatric chiropractic care can make a real difference.

Chiropractic adjustments tailored specifically for infants help reduce nervous system tension, restore balance, and support better brain-body communication. When their little systems are calmer and more regulated, babies can adapt more easily to teething—and you might just get a little more sleep, too.

If your baby is struggling with the teething transition, we’re here to support you both. Let’s bring some comfort, clarity, and calm back into your home.

Reach out to schedule a gentle pediatric evaluation—we’d love to help you and your little one thrive during this stage and beyond.

Perimenopause: What It Is, When It Starts, and How to Support Your Body Through It

Did you know that perimenopause—the transitional phase before menopause—can start up to 10 years before actual menopause begins? 🤯 That means some of the subtle (or not-so-subtle) changes you may be feeling in your late 30s or early 40s could be related to shifting hormones as your body begins its natural transition to a new phase of life.

Many women are surprised to learn this, especially if their cycles are still regular or if menopause seems like a distant concept. But the truth is, your body starts preparing long before your period officially ends. During this time, hormone levels—especially estrogen and progesterone—can fluctuate dramatically, leading to a variety of symptoms including:

  • Mood swings

  • Fatigue

  • Irregular periods

  • Brain fog

  • Changes in sleep patterns

  • Hot flashes or night sweats

  • Weight gain or difficulty losing weight

These symptoms can feel confusing or frustrating, especially if you're not expecting them yet. But here’s the good news: you are not alone, and you are not without options.

Support for the Perimenopausal Transition

The key to feeling empowered during perimenopause is understanding what’s going on in your body—and that starts with getting clear on your hormones. One of the simplest ways to do that is through at-home testing, like the Menopause Test from Thorne. This test can give you valuable insights into your hormonal health, helping you and your care provider decide on the best next steps for support.

You can get your test kit directly from Thorne here and start uncovering the information your body has been trying to tell you.

Want Personalized Support?

If you’re feeling off and think hormones might be to blame—but aren’t sure where to begin—Dr. Amber is here to help. With years of experience in holistic hormone support, she offers one-on-one virtual health consultations to guide you through rebalancing your hormones naturally and effectively.

To book your personalized consultation, simply email us at programs@abutlerchiro.com. We’ll work together to create a plan that supports you in feeling more like you again—calm, clear, and confident in your body.

You deserve to feel supported, informed, and empowered during every stage of life. Let’s make this transition a healthy one—together.

Reconnect, Recharge, and Renew: The Benefits of Being Outdoors This Spring

As winter fades away and the days grow longer, spring reminds us of nature’s incredible power to renew, refresh, and restore. The blooming flowers, budding trees, and singing birds call us to step outside and be present in the world around us—and with good reason.

Spending time in nature isn’t just a seasonal pleasure—it’s a vital component of physical, mental, and emotional health. Whether you're hiking a wooded trail, sitting in your backyard with a book, or letting your toes touch the grass for the first time in months, reconnecting with the outdoors can bring real benefits to your overall well-being.

Here’s how getting outside this spring can make a meaningful difference in your health and happiness:

1. Improved Mood & Mental Health

It’s no coincidence that a walk in the park can lift your spirits. Numerous studies show that time in nature can reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, and depression. The sights and sounds of the natural world have a calming effect on the brain, lowering cortisol (the stress hormone) and increasing serotonin and dopamine levels, which help regulate mood.

Bonus: Being around greenery has been linked to lower levels of rumination—those repetitive, negative thoughts we all experience from time to time.

2. Natural Vitamin D Production

Our bodies need vitamin D for strong bones, immune function, and a stable mood—and the best source is sunlight. Just 10–30 minutes of moderate sun exposure a few times a week can help boost your vitamin D levels, especially after the darker winter months.

Spring is the perfect time to get back outside and safely soak in some of that sunshine!

3. Increased Physical Activity

Let’s be honest: walking on a treadmill is no match for a scenic trail or a peaceful park. Nature naturally encourages movement, whether it's walking, biking, gardening, or simply chasing your kids around the yard.

This type of gentle, consistent movement is incredibly beneficial for your cardiovascular health, metabolism, digestion, sleep quality, and even your lymphatic system.

And best of all? It doesn’t feel like a chore—it feels like fun.

4. Reduced Nervous System Tension

Our nervous systems are under constant pressure from screens, busy schedules, and daily stressors. Being in nature helps shift us from the sympathetic "fight or flight" mode into the parasympathetic "rest and digest" state.

This reset is essential for:

  • Better digestion

  • Improved immune function

  • Calmer thoughts

  • Emotional regulation

Even a few quiet minutes sitting under a tree or walking barefoot in the grass can provide a surprising sense of calm and clarity.

5. Enhanced Focus and Creativity

Ever notice how you think more clearly after a walk outside? That’s not a coincidence. Nature has been shown to restore cognitive function and increase creative problem-solving.

In fact, researchers have found that even short periods in nature can improve focus, memory, and attention span—especially in children and adults dealing with overstimulation or screen fatigue.

6. A Natural Way to Connect

Spring invites us to come together—whether it’s family camping trips, outdoor meals, or community events. Being outside fosters connection, not only with the earth, but with each other.

These shared experiences outdoors help strengthen relationships, promote laughter, and remind us of what matters most. It’s no wonder that many families (including ours!) make outdoor time and camping a cherished Memorial Day tradition.

Your Spring Invitation: Step Outside and Reconnect

Spring is a season of growth and renewal—and you’re invited to be part of it. You don’t need to plan an elaborate hiking trip or spend hours outdoors every day. Even small, consistent moments outside can be powerful.

Try:

  • Drinking your morning coffee on the porch

  • Taking a walk during your lunch break

  • Visiting a local farmer’s market

  • Letting your kids play barefoot in the grass

  • Breathing deeply while listening to birds sing

The Final Stretch: Helping Your Child Finish the School Year Strong

Parents… we’re almost there! 🎉 The end of the school year is in sight—but if it feels like the busiest time of the year, you’re not imagining it. Schedules are jam-packed with events, activities, projects, and let’s be honest—everyone’s a little overstimulated and running on fumes.

This final stretch can feel overwhelming for kids (and parents), but a few small shifts can make a big impact. Here are some simple, science-backed ways to help your child finish the school year strong—mentally, emotionally, and physically.

1. Prioritize Quality Sleep

Sleep is the foundation for everything—focus, mood, immune support, and energy. A consistent bedtime routine helps regulate the body’s internal clock and supports deeper, more restorative sleep. That means fewer morning meltdowns, better attention at school, and a happier household overall.

Quick Tip: Start winding down screens at least 30 minutes before bedtime, and try to keep wake-up times consistent, even on weekends.

2. Fuel Their Brain

Nutrition plays a massive role in your child’s ability to stay energized and focused throughout the day. Meals rich in healthy fats, lean protein, fiber, and minimal sugar give the brain the fuel it needs to perform.

🥗 Swap processed snacks with whole foods like fruit, nut butter, cheese, eggs, or smoothies packed with greens. Balanced blood sugar = better behavior and more brainpower.

3. Encourage Movement Breaks

Kids (and adults!) aren’t meant to sit still all day. Short, intentional bursts of movement can help release built-up energy, improve mood, and sharpen focus. Whether it’s a 5-minute dance party, a walk outside, or a round of jumping jacks—movement matters.

🧠 Physical activity also supports emotional regulation and helps reduce anxiety and restlessness.

4. Support the Nervous System

This is where chiropractic care shines. As your child grows and navigates increasing academic and social stress, their nervous system can become overwhelmed. A well-functioning nervous system is essential for calm, focused behavior and adaptive responses to stress.

Chiropractic adjustments help reduce spinal tension, restore balance, and improve brain-body communication. Parents often tell us their children experience better concentration, more restful sleep, fewer outbursts, and greater emotional resilience after regular care.

Let’s Make These Last Few Weeks Count

If your child is struggling to stay on track—or if you just want to help them finish strong—we’re here to help. We understand the unique needs of kids at every stage and offer personalized chiropractic care to support their growth, development, and success.

Could Your Lower Back Pain Be More Than Just Aches and Strains?

How Chiropractic Care Can Help Disc Issues—Naturally

If you’re dealing with persistent lower back pain, you might be wondering: Could this be more than just muscle tension? Could it be a disc issue? You're not alone—and the good news is, there are natural, non-invasive options that may help.

Understanding Disc Problems

Your spinal discs act as shock absorbers between your vertebrae. When they become inflamed, compressed, or shift out of place, they can press on nearby nerves, leading to symptoms like:

  • Sharp, radiating pain (especially in the lower back or neck)

Tingling, numbness, or weakness in the arms or legs

  • Limited mobility and stiffness

Pain that worsens with sitting, standing, or movement.

Whether you're dealing with a bulging, herniated, or degenerated disc, the root cause often lies in poor spinal alignment, compression, or chronic nerve irritation.

How Chiropractic Care Can Help

Chiropractic care offers a gentle, holistic approach to managing disc issues by targeting the spine directly. Here’s how adjustments can support your healing:

Reduce spinal compression – relieving tension on the affected disc
Improve mobility & flexibility – helping you move more comfortably
Enhance circulation – delivering nutrients to support disc repair
Support long-term spinal health – preventing future issues

Our bodies are designed to heal and adapt—but they need the right environment to do so. That’s where chiropractic care comes in.

You Don’t Have to Live with Pain

Disc problems can take a toll on every part of your life—from your ability to move to how well you sleep. If you're searching for a natural solution that doesn’t rely on medications or surgery, chiropractic might be the missing piece in your recovery plan.

Need more than just an adjustment?
We’ve built a trusted network of local providers—physical therapists, massage therapists, and more—who work hand-in-hand with our office to make sure you get the full-spectrum care you deserve.

Why We Combine Chiropractic & Massage (And Why Your Body Loves It)

At A. Butler Chiropractic, we’re big believers in treating the body as a whole — because when it comes to healing, everything is connected. That’s why we don’t just adjust spines… we also focus on the muscles, fascia, and soft tissue that surround and support them.

Are we a little biased about combining chiropractic and massage therapy? Absolutely. 😉
But that’s because we’ve seen it work again and again — and it’s how our own journeys in wellness began!

Before becoming chiropractors, both Dr. Amber and Dr. Jess were massage therapists. That foundation gave them a deep appreciation for how muscle health plays a crucial role in spinal alignment and nervous system function. And let’s be honest — if your muscles are always tight, your body is constantly fighting itself. That tension can literally pull your spine out of alignment and keep your adjustment from holding.

That’s where massage comes in.
When your muscles are loose, relaxed, and responsive, your adjustments go smoother and last longer. It’s not just about feeling better in the moment (though it feels amazing) — it’s about helping your body hold those changes and build long-term balance.

Massage therapy also helps:

  • Release fascia tension and adhesions

  • Improve circulation and healing

  • Reduce stress and promote relaxation

  • Support nervous system regulation

Whether you’re working through chronic pain, recovering from injury, or just looking to feel your best day-to-day, this combo approach creates powerful results. And we love helping you experience it firsthand.

Not sure where to start? Ask us at your next visit! We're happy to personalize a care plan that blends both chiropractic and massage for what your body needs most.

Because you deserve care that goes beyond the quick fix — and we’re here to help you unwind, align, and thrive.

Is Your Baby Always Looking One Way? It Could Be More Than Just a Preference

Have you noticed your baby always favoring one side when looking around—or only being able to fall asleep in one specific position? Maybe tummy time leads to fussiness (or full-on meltdowns 🫣), or your baby seems uncomfortable during feeding. Perhaps you’re starting to see a flat spot developing on their head. If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and more importantly, there’s a reason behind these signs.

What you’re seeing could be related to torticollis or general neck tension, which often stems from birth positioning or spinal misalignments. Even the smoothest of deliveries can place strain on a baby’s delicate neck and spine, leading to tight muscles, restricted movement, and discomfort.

Why the First 3 Months Matter

The first three months of life are critical for a baby’s development. During this time, many physical patterns are forming, and small issues—like limited head movement—can quickly contribute to imbalances or developmental delays. A flat spot on the head (known as positional plagiocephaly) can sneak up faster than you think!

That’s why early evaluation is key. Addressing spinal misalignments or muscular tension early on can support better feeding, sleep, and movement patterns—things that help baby and parents thrive.

Chiropractic Care for Babies: Gentle & Effective

Let’s clear this up: chiropractic care for infants is nothing like what you may have seen in adult adjustments. There’s no twisting, cracking, or forceful movements. Instead, we use gentle, specific adjustments tailored to your baby’s needs—often with just the pressure you’d use to check the ripeness of a tomato. These light adjustments help reduce tension, improve range of motion, and support nervous system function.

If your little one is showing signs of discomfort, feeding challenges, or a strong head-turning preference, it might be time to check in on how their nervous system is functioning. We’re here to support you and your baby every step of the way—because when baby feels better, so does the whole household 💛.

Why Insulin Resistance Might Be the Reason Behind Your Stubborn Weight – and What You Can Do About It

Have you been eating clean, moving your body, and doing all the things—yet the scale barely budges? You’re not alone, and you’re not doing anything wrong. For many people, especially those who feel stuck despite their efforts, insulin resistance could be playing a major role in stubborn weight loss.

What Is Insulin Resistance?

Insulin is a hormone made by your pancreas that helps move glucose (sugar) from your bloodstream into your cells to be used for energy. But when your body becomes resistant to insulin, it means the cells don’t respond well—so your pancreas produces more insulin to compensate.

This excess insulin can cause:

  • Increased fat storage, especially around the belly

  • Intense cravings, particularly for carbs and sugar

  • Energy crashes and brain fog

  • Difficulty losing weight even with diet and exercise

Over time, insulin resistance can also be a precursor to prediabetes, Type 2 diabetes, and other chronic conditions.

So… Why Is It So Hard to Lose Weight?

When your insulin is constantly high, your body is in storage mode rather than fat-burning mode. This makes losing fat incredibly difficult, even if you’re eating well or working out. You might feel frustrated, discouraged, or confused—especially when your efforts don’t match your results.

This Is Where Our 14-Day Weight Management Program Comes In

We created our 14-Day Weight Management Program to help reset your body’s metabolism, support insulin sensitivity, and empower you with the tools to take back control of your health.

Understanding Piriformis Syndrome: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

If you’ve ever experienced a deep ache in your buttock or a radiating pain down your leg, you may be dealing with Piriformis Syndrome. This often-overlooked condition can cause discomfort, impact mobility, and mimic sciatica, making it crucial to understand and address properly.

What is Piriformis Syndrome?

Piriformis Syndrome occurs when the piriformis muscle, located deep in the buttock, becomes tight, inflamed, or irritated. Because the sciatic nerve runs beneath or even through the piriformis in some individuals, any dysfunction in this muscle can compress the nerve, leading to pain, tingling, or numbness down the leg.

Common Causes

Piriformis Syndrome can develop from:

  • Overuse or Strain: Activities like running, cycling, or prolonged sitting can overwork the piriformis muscle.

  • Muscle Imbalances: Weak glutes or core muscles can force the piriformis to compensate, leading to tightness.

  • Injury or Trauma: Falls, accidents, or improper lifting can irritate the piriformis and surrounding structures.

  • Poor Posture: Sitting with poor posture for long periods can contribute to muscle tension and nerve compression.

Symptoms to Watch For

  • Deep aching pain in the buttock, especially when sitting

  • Radiating pain down the back of the leg (similar to sciatica)

  • Tingling or numbness in the leg or foot

  • Pain with movement, such as walking upstairs or getting up from a seated position

  • Increased discomfort after long periods of sitting or standing

Treatment and Relief

1. Stretching & Mobility Work

Gentle stretching can help relieve tension in the piriformis muscle. Some effective stretches include:

  • Piriformis Stretch: Lying on your back, cross one ankle over the opposite knee and pull the leg toward your chest.

  • Seated Figure-Four Stretch: Sit in a chair, place one ankle over the opposite knee, and gently lean forward.

2. Strengthening Exercises

Building strength in the glutes, core, and hip muscles can relieve strain on the piriformis. Try:

  • Glute bridges

  • Clamshell exercises

  • Core stabilization workouts

3. Massage and Myofascial Release

Using a foam roller or a massage ball to release tension in the piriformis can provide relief. Deep tissue massage and chiropractic adjustments may also help reduce discomfort and improve mobility.

4. Postural Awareness & Lifestyle Adjustments

  • Avoid prolonged sitting or take frequent breaks to move.

  • Maintain proper posture when sitting and standing.

  • Use supportive footwear to reduce strain on the lower body.

5. Chiropractic & Alternative Therapies

Chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, and other holistic therapies can help alleviate pressure on the sciatic nerve and improve overall function.

When to Seek Professional Help

If your symptoms persist despite stretching and strengthening, or if the pain worsens and affects daily activities, it’s important to seek professional care. A chiropractor, physical therapist, or healthcare provider can help create a customized treatment plan to address the root cause of your discomfort.

Piriformis Syndrome can be frustrating, but with the right approach, relief is possible. Incorporating stretching, strengthening, and lifestyle modifications can help ease pain and prevent future flare-ups. If you're struggling with persistent discomfort, don’t hesitate to seek guidance from a healthcare professional to get back to moving comfortably and pain-free!

Understanding the Effects of Subluxations in the Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar Spine

Your spine is a vital part of your body’s overall function, supporting movement, protecting the nervous system, and ensuring proper communication between the brain and body. However, when spinal misalignments—known as subluxations—occur, they can have significant effects on your health. Depending on where they happen, these misalignments can cause pain, dysfunction, and a variety of symptoms throughout the body. Let’s explore how subluxations in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine impact your well-being.

Cervical Spine (Neck) Subluxations

The cervical spine, or neck, consists of seven vertebrae (C1-C7) that support the head and facilitate movement. Subluxations in this area can disrupt nerve function and lead to a variety of issues, including:

🔹 Neck pain and stiffness – Limited mobility and discomfort in turning the head.
🔹 Headaches and migraines – Misalignments may contribute to tension headaches and even chronic migraines.
🔹 Dizziness and vertigo – Subluxations, especially in the upper cervical spine, can interfere with the inner ear’s balance function.
🔹 Nerve-related symptoms – Tingling, numbness, or weakness in the arms and hands due to nerve compression.
🔹 Poor posture – Forward head posture caused by misalignment can lead to long-term discomfort and strain.

Thoracic Spine (Mid-Back) Subluxations

The thoracic spine consists of twelve vertebrae (T1-T12) connected to the ribcage, providing stability and supporting respiratory function. Subluxations here can lead to:

🔹 Mid-back pain and tightness – Aches, stiffness, or tension between the shoulder blades.
🔹 Breathing difficulties – Misalignments may impact the nerves that control lung function, making breathing feel restricted.
🔹 Digestive issues – Since nerves in this region influence digestion, a subluxation may contribute to acid reflux, bloating, or irregular bowel movements.
🔹 Postural imbalances – Rounded shoulders and slouching are common when thoracic subluxations are present. What Results Can You Expect?

Lumbar Spine (Lower Back) Subluxations

The lumbar spine, made up of five vertebrae (L1-L5), bears much of the body’s weight and is crucial for movement and stability. Subluxations in this region can cause:

🔹 Lower back pain – One of the most common complaints, often affecting mobility and daily activities.
🔹 Sciatica – Compression of the sciatic nerve can cause pain, tingling, or numbness that radiates down the legs.
🔹 Hip and knee pain – Misalignments can contribute to improper weight distribution, affecting the lower extremities.
🔹 Bladder and bowel dysfunction – Since the lumbar spine controls nerves related to these functions, subluxations may lead to irregularity or discomfort.

How Chiropractic Care Can Help

Chiropractic adjustments help restore proper alignment, reducing nerve interference and improving overall function. By addressing subluxations in the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, chiropractic care can:

✅ Alleviate pain and discomfort
✅ Improve posture and mobility
✅ Enhance nervous system communication
✅ Support better digestion and organ function
✅ Promote overall well-being and energy levels

If you’re experiencing symptoms related to spinal misalignment, chiropractic care may be the solution you need! Schedule an appointment today and take the first step toward a healthier, pain-free life. Book Here Today!

Why Pediatric Chiropractic Adjustments Matter

As parents, we want the best for our children—optimal health, proper development, and overall well-being. While many think of chiropractic care as something only adults need, pediatric chiropractic adjustments can be incredibly beneficial for infants, toddlers, and growing kids. Chiropractic care focuses on ensuring the nervous system and spine are functioning properly, which plays a key role in a child’s growth and development.

When Should Children Get Chiropractic Adjustments?

Pediatric chiropractic care can begin as early as birth. The birthing process, even under the best circumstances, can put stress on an infant’s spine and nervous system. Adjustments can help alleviate any misalignments caused during delivery and promote healthy development. As children grow and become more active, they experience falls, bumps, and postural changes that can impact spinal alignment. Regular chiropractic check-ups can help address these issues before they lead to discomfort or long-term imbalances.

Common times to consider pediatric chiropractic care include:
✔️ After birth to address any spinal misalignments
✔️ During major growth spurts to support proper posture and musculoskeletal development
✔️ After falls or injuries from crawling, walking, or playing sports
✔️ When experiencing sleep disturbances, colic, or digestive issues
✔️ For immune system support and overall wellness

Benefits of Pediatric Chiropractic Care

Gentle, pediatric-focused chiropractic adjustments can provide a variety of benefits for children, including:
Improved Sleep: Proper spinal alignment can help ease tension, leading to better rest.
Enhanced Immune Function: A balanced nervous system supports a stronger immune response.
Digestive Relief: Chiropractic care can help with colic, reflux, and constipation.
Better Posture & Development: Encourages proper spinal alignment as kids grow.
Reduced Discomfort: Helps alleviate tension from falls, growth spurts, or birth trauma.

What Results Can You Expect?

Every child responds differently to chiropractic care, but many parents report improvements in sleep, digestion, mood, and overall comfort after just a few sessions. Find the Perfect Massage for You: Exploring Our Wide Range of Therapeutic Options

When it comes to massage therapy, one size does not fit all. Whether you're looking for deep relaxation, pain relief, or muscle recovery, choosing the right massage can make all the difference. That’s why we offer a variety of massage techniques tailored to your unique needs! From deep tissue and Swedish to reflexology, sports massage, and hot stones, we have the perfect option for everyone.

Which Massage is Right for You?

💆‍♀️ Deep Tissue Massage – Target Stubborn Tension

If you experience chronic muscle tension or deep-seated knots, deep tissue massage is for you! This technique uses firm pressure and slow strokes to break down adhesions in the muscles, improving mobility, circulation, and pain relief. Perfect for those who need more focused work on tight or overused muscles.

🌿 Swedish Massage – Pure Relaxation

Looking for a calming, stress-relieving experience? Swedish massage is your go-to. With long, flowing strokes, gentle kneading, and rhythmic tapping, this massage promotes full-body relaxation, improved circulation, and reduced stress levels. Ideal for anyone needing a mental and physical reset.

👣 Reflexology – Healing Through the Feet & Hands

Reflexology is based on the idea that specific pressure points in the feet and hands correspond to different organs and systems in the body. By stimulating these points, reflexology helps promote balance, circulation, and overall well-being. It’s a great option for those looking for a unique, holistic approach to relaxation and healing.

🏃‍♂️ Sports Massage – Recovery & Performance Enhancement

Athletes and active individuals love sports massage for its ability to enhance performance, prevent injuries, and speed up recovery. This technique incorporates stretching, deep tissue work, and targeted pressure to reduce muscle soreness and improve flexibility. Whether you're training for a marathon or just love staying active, sports massage keeps your body in top shape!

🔥 Hot Stone Massage – Melt Away Stress

For the ultimate relaxation and tension relief, hot stone massage combines smooth, heated stones with traditional massage techniques. The warmth of the stones helps to ease muscle stiffness, improve circulation, and create a deep sense of tranquility. Perfect for cold days or anyone in need of extra stress relief!

Why You Should Get a Massage Before Your Chiropractic Adjustment?

If you’ve ever had a chiropractic adjustment, you know how amazing it feels when your spine is properly aligned. But did you know that getting a massage before your adjustment can enhance the results and make the experience even more effective?

The Perfect Pair: Massage & Chiropractic Care

Both massage therapy and chiropractic care focus on improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall well-being. While chiropractors work to adjust the spine and joints, massage therapy focuses on relaxing muscles and increasing circulation. Combining the two treatments can lead to better, longer-lasting results.

Benefits of a Massage Before an Adjustment

1) Relaxes Muscles for a Smoother Adjustment

Tight muscles can resist chiropractic adjustments, making it more difficult for a chiropractor to manipulate the joints effectively. Massage therapy helps relax the muscles, making it easier for the body to accept and hold the adjustment.

2) Improves Circulation & Reduces Inflammation

Massage boosts blood flow and helps flush out toxins, reducing inflammation and stiffness. This can help alleviate discomfort, making your adjustment feel more natural and comfortable.

3) Enhances Range of Motion & Flexibility

By loosening up knots and tension points, massage helps improve flexibility. This allows the chiropractor to adjust your spine more efficiently and with less resistance, leading to better mobility and long-term benefits.

4) Prolongs the Effects of Your Adjustment

Tight muscles can pull your spine back into misalignment after an adjustment. By addressing muscle tension beforehand, you increase the chances of holding your adjustment longer, leading to improved posture and long-term relief.

Who Can Benefit from This Combination?

🔹 People with chronic pain or stiffness
🔹 Those recovering from injuries
🔹 Individuals with posture-related issues
🔹 Athletes or active individuals
🔹 Anyone looking for better mobility and pain relief

Discover the Right Adjustment Style for You!

Did you know there’s more than one chiropractic adjustment style that can provide the relief you need? Come talk to one of our practitioners and say goodbye to tension, discomfort, and stiffness-your journey to better health starts now!

Activator Technique

This technique uses a device which is generally regarded as a softer chiropractic treatment technique. The activator is a small handheld spring-loaded instrument which delivers a small impulse to the spine.

“We love this technique for those who cannot tolerate high-velocity adjustments, for those who prefer lighter adjustment styles, and who do not like to be ‘cracked’. It is used most commonly in my office on infants and the elderly.”

Diversified technique

This technique is a non-proprietary and eclectic approach to spinal manipulation. Manually placing pressure through the affected vertebral segment in order to restore proper movement.

This technique is highly utilized in our office. Even manual manipulation can be tailored with pressure to keep the patient comfortable.”

Thompson drop table technique

This technique uses a precision adjusting table along with a weighing mechanism which gives sufficient tension to keep the patient in the “up” position before the thrust or pressure is applied.

“We utilize this technique more frequently for those who do not tolerate side posture adjustments.”

Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT)?

This technique was developed to align with human structural distortions by using custom designed wedges to balance the pelvis and spine.

In our opinion, this is the gentlest adjustment with the most resounding effects.”

Extremity Adjustments

This Technique can help..

Shoulder pain, Hip Pain, shoulder strains, carpal tunnel syndrome, Wrist pain, Hip pain, plantar fasciitis, bursitis, tennis elbow

Whether you're dealing with back pain, headaches, or just looking to feel your best, our expert chiropractors will create a personalized plan to help you move better, feel better, and live better.

Vitamin D

Often called “the sunshine vitamin,” vitamin D is unique in that the body makes it from sunlight, but limitations in sun exposure have led to widespread vitamin D insufficiency. It’s estimated that 50 percent of the population worldwide has vitamin D insufficiency, including 35 percent of U.S. adults who experience a true deficiency. If you live in the Northern half of the US like we do, odds are you are not getting enough Vitamin D for 4-6 months out of the year. Many foods, like orange juice, milk, and cereals, are fortified with vitamin D for this reason. Some food sources with naturally occurring vitamin D include fatty fish, algae, beef, chicken, egg yolks, and mushrooms.

Although having a low level of vitamin D is often asymptomatic, you might experience:

  • More frequent infections

  • Fatigue

  • Muscle or bone discomfort

  • Depressed mood

Vitamin D is another fat-soluble vitamin, like vitamin A, that provides important nutrition for immune cells.* It is necessary for white blood cells to differentiate into their specialized functional types, helps bring immune cells to the site of infection, and modulates the immune system – ramps up function when demand is high and calms the response when the work is done.* Vitamin D can be found from head to toe because it is an important nutrient for healthy muscles, bones, teeth, skin, heart and brain function, and eyesight.*

Want to check your own levels? You can order an at-home functional lab test right here.

Need help with the next steps? Set up a one on one consultation with Dr. Amber to guide you through how to support your body and nutrient levels. Learn more about Health Consultations here.

Do You Know the Importance of Your Liver?

In today’s world, many of us are dealing with chronic stress, especially after the holidays. But, when stress hormones (like cortisol) become a dominant force in your body, they can impact your health in ways you might not expect. Here are some signs that stress hormones might be in the driver’s seat.

Chiropractic care helps because it is a natural way to bring balance back to your body by supporting the nervous system, which plays a key role in managing stress.

  • Constant Fatigue

  • Frequent Aches & Tension

  • Digestive Issues

  • Mood Swings & Anxiety

  • Poor Sleep Quality

The Adjustments help reduce nerve interference, and activate the vagus nerve. This encourages the body to shift from “fight-or-flight” mode to “rest-and-digest,” lowering cortisol levels and bringing a sense of calm and balance! BONUS CARE … our massages can help too!

Do You Know the Importance of Your Liver?

Did You Know?

Your body comes equipped with a natural detox system! When everything is working properly, you feel amazing. But when one part—like your liver—gets overwhelmed, the rest of your body compensates, and you start to notice it.

Your liver, the heavy lifter of detoxification, often gets backed up first. And in today’s world, with pollutants and chemicals far beyond what we encountered 50 years ago, it’s no surprise.

Signs your liver might need extra detox support:

  • Feeling sluggish

  • Poor metabolism

  • Excessive body odor

  • Hormonal imbalances

Detoxification isn’t something that happens once a year, like spring cleaning your house. Multiple body systems work cohesively together to “detoxify” our bodies every single day and night, and thankfully so. We are exposed to toxic insults daily from a variety of sources – the air we breathe, the food and liquids we consume, the products we put on our skin and hair, and even the agents we use to clean our homes.

Can you imagine the mess we would be living in if we left all our dirty dishes and laundry to be done just once a year?

Just like cleaning up the kitchen after each meal, detoxifying from the pollutants we are exposed to is something that needs to happen consistently (if not daily) so our bodies don’t become overburdened with stored toxins. Feelings of sluggishness, poor metabolism, excessive body odor, or acne could all be indications your body is not metabolizing toxins as efficiently as it should.

We Now Offer At-Home Lab Testing

Did you know we can offer the convenience of at-home lab testing?! We’re excited to introduce this option to make healthcare easier and more accessible for you. One of the most commonly needed tests is for the Thyroid.

The thyroid plays an integral part of hormonal processing, and signaling, in the body. It is a small but mighty, butterfly-shaped, organ located in your neck.

Don't worry if you don't know what these mean. When you order this test from our partners at Thorne (with the link below) you will get a report of your testing and you can also schedule a one-on-one health consultations with Dr. Amber to get a plan of action if your numbers are not ideal.

Order your tests here https://s.thorne.com/0nNLN.

Sometimes it can be difficult to be able to request multiple markers to be tested for the thyroid from your primary care physician, however, this test cover TSH, Free T3, Free T4, & TPO Antibodies.

Proper Posture Tips for Office Workers

Ahhh! The million dollar question!! What is the “correct” way to sit at your desk?! Well, with so many people working remotely… let’s start with sitting at your kitchen table, on your couch, or even in your bed, is not gonna work. Sorry.

Sitting with poor posture can lead to:
– Neck and back pain
– Forward head posture
– Rounded shoulders
– Hyperkyphosis
– Anterior pelvic tilt
– Bulging discs
– Muscle stiffness
– Decreased mobility
– Poor balance
– Decreased athletic performance

However, simple changes help no matter your work location. Do your best to get up and move. Alternate between sitting “correctly” or try a sit to stand desk (use an anti-fatigue mat to stand on!). Place a timer on your phone so you remember to get up or sit up every once in a while. I promise new patterns will occur if you remain consistent!

Check out the graphic above for our top simple tips for sitting at a desk all day.

Benefits of proper posture include:

– Keeps bones and joints in proper alignment to encourage efficient use of muscles.
– Helps reduce abnormal wear and tear on joint surfaces.
– Decreases the stress on the spinal ligaments.
– Prevents abnormal spinal positions.
– Prevents muscle fatigue.
– Prevents injury including strains, sprains, and overuse injuries.
– Contributes to a good appearance.
– Improves self-esteem.
